Welcome Jedi, Wizards and Muggles to episode 9 of Sabers and Spells! This episode takes us into the wizarding world of Harry Potter and our Harry Potter fandom, as we discuss for the first time our own personal Harry Potter fandom.
Harry Potter took the world by storm in the 1990s. Since then the wizarding world has continued to grow. Its fans began as children and have grown up loving the magical world so much they have passed their love down to their children. Harry Potter is one of those things in our culture that will stand the test of time.
As time passes and we have begun to explore other parts of the wizarding world there has been no shortage of love for Harry Potter. New merchandise gets released what feels like every day. Movie marathons on cable TV air every year, and because of this the fandom continues to grow. With the adding of the Wizarding World theme parks at Universal Orlando and Universal Hollywood I do not see this slowing down any time soon.
Many fans just like Christy and Myself over the last 2 decades have found ourselves in Harry Potter and we continue to do so. We felt it was time to share our Spells story and why we chose our podcast name.
