Things have happened! While it's not the big trade that everyone is waiting for involving either Kevin Durant or Donovan Mitchell, Kings make a signing that could be big or could be nothing. They signed Matthew Dellavedova to their 3rd guard position. Yea, that it, that's the big news for the Kings. And Keegan Murray has a cast on his wrist after an unreported procedure on his right wrist. Again, it could be something, or it may be nothing. That's where were at, the point of the offseason where very little happens and we as fans are just dying for something to happen. It also doesn't help the Kevin Durant and Donovan Mitchell situations gridlocking the trade market.

Podcast Host Owen and Fong make the most out of the little that has been happening as off late, as well as speculate on the players' roles on the team, who's gonna be on the team come training camp, and possible mini storylines that could be of interest going into the season.

They also discuss the news of the Celtics offering Jaylen Brown for Kevin Durant, and then end with Triple H becoming the Head of Creative for WWE and whether or not Vince Mcmahon is truly gone from the WWE.

In a bonus edition of Sac Kings Therapy, we're going to not talk about the Kings at all. Instead, podcasts hosts Owen and Fong revive the Naruto rewatch series, where they go through the episodes in chronological order and see if the show is as good as they remember.

In episodes 16 to 19, it contains the 2nd half of the battle on the bridge as Naruto and Sasuke try to break free from Haku's Ice mirrors while at the same time Kakashi is trying to neutralize Zabuza.

Episode 20 is the start of a new chapter/arc as a new event called the Chunin Exams is introduced and set to take place.

In the dog days of the NBA offseason, after the draft and free agency, it becomes difficult to come up with topics to fill the countless hours until the start of the next season. So why not? Let's talk about whether Keegan Murray can win the Rookie of the Year award this upcoming season. Marc Spears brought up this possibility, and he may not be crazy. 

If Mike Brown and the Kings can figure out the right lineup combinations to put the team in position to succeed, there is a very good chance Murray could be the favorite to win the award. While Brown has not been delivered the most ideal lemons to make the best lemonade, his reputation for crafting some of the best defenses in the league would lead me to believe he can get really creative in making the most out of the talent he going to work with.

In news around the NBA, mostly focusing on the Lakers, I tackle why there isn't a lot of love for the Lonnie Walker signing, and the news of the Lakers trying to trade Russell Westbrook for Buddy Hield and Myles Turner. The fact that the Westbrook saga all could've been avoided had they just traded for Hield in the first place makes this all the more ironic and extremely funny. Now this situation has finally come full circle.

And to end the episode, I talk about the announcement by Vince Mcmahon that he is "retiring." And if you read that correctly, you'll have a great idea of how I feel about the announcement.

The Kings weren't able to repeat as back to back Summer League champions, but they were still able to show out. And in doing so, were able to elevate Keegan Murray to win the Summer League MVP, the 2nd year in a row that a Kings player has won the award, after Davion Mitchell won it last year. There are plenty of positive vibes going around in Sacramento and fans are eagerly waiting for the start of next season to see how this will translate into the regular season. 

Before we get to that point, the Kings have signed 2 more players to their roster, adding KZ Okpala and Chima Moneke. Both players have defensive reputations and will provide much needed stability and playmaking on that end of the floor for the Kings. The Kings are likely not finished and all eyes are on the front office led by Monte McNair to make one more move or 2 to round out the roster to be able to make a push to end the dreaded 16 year playoff cloud that hovers over the franchise.

We also weigh in on the silly war of words on Twitter between Kings Twitter and Pistons Twitter, and how stupid it was that it was all started by a guy that lives in Arizona.

The Kings played the Magic in what was perhaps the greatest Summer League game of all time on Saturday afternoon. The Big 3 of Murray, Ellis and Queta all showed out with impressive stat lines and impact all over the floor. They took Paolo Banchero and the Magic to 2 overtimes who by the skin of their teeth were able to outlast the Kings in sudden death in the 2nd overtime. The Kings followed that up by taking care of business against the Indiana Pacers and their new draft pick Benedict Mathurin in a game that was way closer than it needed to be. 

Up next will be the Thunder with hopefully Chet Holmgren and the Phoenix Suns, let's see if the Kings keep this momentum up and the new prospect continue to impress and give Kings fans new optimism for the next season.

The California Classic is now over so off the Kings go now to Summer League in Las Vegas. Keegan Murray, Neemias Queta, Keon Ellis and others had impressive showings in the Cal Classic, but now they go head to head with some of the top draft picks in the most recent draft so it'll be interesting how they stack up.

Fong is also back this episode so he's here to give his thoughts on the moves the Kings have made thus far, and also on trades across the league, particularly the Rudy Gobert trade.

Kings made moves in Free Agency, they sign Malik Monk seconds after the clock turned 3 PM PST on Thursday. A day later, they followed that up by trading Justin Holiday, Mo Harkless and a protected 1st round pick for Kevin Huerter. The 2 biggest things the Kings needed to address this offseason was their shooting and their defense. These 2 moves have address their shooting. Now it's up to Monte and the Kings Front Office to find a way to address the defense as well. Let's see what else they may have in store.

There was also a blockbuster trade between the Wolves and Jazz involving Rudy Gobert going to Minnesota. Owen shares his thoughts and why he does not like the move.

Game 1 of the California Classic has happened and we get our first look at Keegan Murray and Neemias Queta in his 2nd season as well as many other intriguing prospects on the Kings Summer League team.

And to close out the episode, Owen goes over 2022 Money in the Bank in what was a really fun show.

As the NBA approaches the start of the Free Agency 2022, many in the media have dubbed this a weak Free Agency class and that it will likely be a boring Free Agency period. But that hasn't stopped the endless speculation about what teams do what and which players go where, so much so, there's a lot of intrigue going into tomorrow. As for the Kings, the biggest news of the day is they did not extend the qualifying offer to Donte Divincenzo, letting him enter Unrestricted Free Agency and opening up some cap space. Will the Kings do anything with that space?

While the Free Agency class may be a bit underwhelming, once the clock strikes 3 PM Pacific, make no mistake, chaos will still ensue.

The Kings draft Keegan Murray with the #4 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. Many in the NBA world including yours truly and Kings fans were a bit ... underwhelmed by the pick. While many acknowledge the Keegan is a good player and a great fit for the Kings, many wanted to take Jaden Ivey as the higher upside pick as well as the player with more value around the league. But as it stands now, the Kings get a terrific young player who should be ready to play day 1 of next season and who helps address the giant hole in the King's wing rotation. 

Is this a better roster than before the draft? Maybe. But the Kings have a lot of work to do if they want reach their goal of getting in the playoffs because many teams in the West just got better, and the Kings will need a lot to be able to catch up and hopefully pass these teams.

The NBA draft is one day away, all the anticipation, all the research, the draft analysis will all culminate tomorrow, when the Sacramento Kings take a player with the #4 pick. Or will they pick at #4? Maybe they trade down to #5? #6? #7? Or possibly ... trade out the draft entirely for a star? A veteran player? But then that would mean all the work fans put into researching draft prospects will be for nothing. Regardless, the Kings are at a huge crossroads, they need to swing for a home run this offseason and the draft is where it starts. By the end of the draft, we'll have a good idea of whether the Kings can achieve their lofty goals of breaking their postseason drought.
