We do not need another teacher to show us how to be moral. We need ontological deliverance from actual powers that are stronger than us. Jesus Christ is so much more than a teacher. He is Lord.

Everyone in heaven is a saint. There journeys are often filled with a change of life. As we seek to be saints let’s consider one area of our life that we can change this year to grow closer to sainthood.

As it currently stands, each of the vaccines available for covid-19 have links to abortion. To what extent am I morally obligated to receive (or refuse) these vaccines? The Bible reveals a history of God‘s powerful action in significant places. As these places were remembered, the action of God was remembered also. When we are better aware of where we are, we are better able to be attentive to what God is doing. Where we are reveals what God is doing.

Who do you worship? God, or yourself? The Magi adored Jesus at his birth, while King Herod felt threatened by him. It’s easy to slip into King Herod’s mindset if we aren’t intentional. Adoration of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament may be the answer.

Feast of the Epiphany

The faith is something that has been passed on and needs to be passed on from one generation to the next. We learned from watching others. Father’s role in their family is to pass on the faith. Let’s learn from the holy family and let’s imitate Saint Joseph and Jesus and the apostles.
