While helping her family heal and processing her own childhood trauma, she began incorporating personal materials - old letters, photos, journals - into her paintings. During one pivotal moment, while ripping up both a sweet card from her mother and legal papers from their lawsuit against her, she realized she was literally disassembling and reassembling herself. This completely transformed how she related to her most difficult experiences.

This discovery led to Soul Portraits - a process where she either guides people to work directly with their own materials during workshops and retreats, or creates commissioned portraits for clients. The work helps shed false identities and limiting beliefs that keep people stuck in the past and armored against authentic connection.
