You better believe we have a lot to say about parenthood now that we've actually started this wild journey. Today we have the pleasure of hearing from one of the brightest lights I've ever encountered. Maribelle has experienced some incredibly traumatic events and even still she chooses to not let it affect her. This is her story and the fact that she trusted me and my parents enough to come onto our podcasts to share it means the world to us. 93% of children who are sexually abused, know their abuser. 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys will be sexually abused before the age of 18. Most of the time, the abuser is a family member or family friend. It is SO important to be shedding light on such an awful monstrosity - listen to your kids, look for the warning signs. I know Maribelle is going to help so many people by being vulnerable and sharing her experience. She is an absolute warrior and we are so grateful to know her.
