  • Things I Lost in the Fire

This girl me, completed a whole podcast series!  I am sitting back and looking over the last 9 months of my life in total awe. In July 2020 after some real searching and praying, about current events and how I was going to use my voice to help my community, I decided to do the most courageous  things which was to be vulnerable and put myself, my family and my story out into the world.  It was hard and scary but I as I reflect back, I am so very glad I did it.

  • ACEs and the Risk of Suicide

A recent study found that adults who had experienced adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) were more likely to have attempted suicide in their lifetime than those who had not experienced ACEs. On this weeks episode I speak with Dr. Janee Both Gragg about the connections between ACEs and suicide. Listen in for an important conversation on understanding how having dealt with childhood trauma can sometimes lead to suicide attempts and what to do if you know someone is struggling.
