Today I talked to Ronda Goldfein. She's a co-founder of the Philadelphia, PA based Safehouse Project, a nonprofit public health approach to overdose prevention. Supervised consumption sites like Safehouse are common-place in many other countries, but she and others have been fighting an uphill battle for many years trying to open the doors of the first such site in the US.
