Hi everyone! This is Sara here with Saffron and Peri news! I know it’s been…a little while…ok, maybe a few years? Since our last season. But I’m super excited to announce that we’re back with a fifth season, and it’ll be coming out later this year! I can’t give you an exact date yet, other than saying we’re looking at a fall release, but we’ll have news on an exact day and time as we near it.

I cannot WAIT for you all to hear it—this season is gonna be SO GOOD!! I mean, I’m biased because I adore all of Jenan’s writing, but I’ve read the scripts for 4 out of 6 episodes, and it is EXCELLENT stuff. Crackling dialogue, well-placed (well-paced) plot (wow, say THAT three times fast), goblins, humor, murder, mystery—it’s got it all!

If you don’t remember where we left off, don’t worry, I gotchu covered. I’ll be putting together a “previously on” update to get you all caught up—or you can always re-listen to our last four seasons in a marathon…a listen-a-thon? Wow, no, that word absolutely does not work. (Oo, audio-thon?)

Anyhoo, if you’re a long-time listener, we gratefully welcome you back…sorry for the wait, I hope you’ll find it’s worth it. And if you’re a new listener—impeccable timing! And a warm welcome.

We’ll try to update our social media with news on progress as it happens. Apologies for the long radio silence—I guess I don’t need to tell you it’s been a weird and complicated few years. Lotta unpredictable happenings, some more or less expected happenings, and just life in general. I hope all you listeners, old and new alike, are staying safe and well. A young woman finds herself trapped in a labyrinthine maze, with no knowledge of name or self, and all she has to help guide her is a raven who has agreed to act as her memory...can she discover how to get out, and will she remember what she has done to be trapped there?

This is Saffron and Peri's season 4 bonus episode, it's a standalone story without direct connection to the events of the season, although there is a connection to one of the characters....

While questing, Tristan and his friends discovered they're bad at Peri-based trivia, a sad story was told, a mermaid was made to cry her caustic tears for a good cause, a magic sword was forged, Tristan helped with hostage negotiations for the second time in his student career, and a long-cursed king was extracted from some onion-scented mush.

During the opening ceremony for the new library, Tristan and his friends, Rose Red and Nyneve, undertake a daring plan to steal a book of possibly evil magic to destroy it for the good of all. However, after a narrow bagel escape from gargoyles, the three discover someone has beat them to it, and the library is under attack!
