In this episode we take a look into the suspicious death of Amy Dudley, wife to the infamous Robert Dudley.

On the 8th September 1560, Amy Dudley was found dead at the bottom of a staircase. The resulting shock caused a crack in the relationship (whether romantically or friendly) between Dudley and Elizabeth I and even today, the extent to which Dudley or the Queen were involved in Amy’s death is still unclear, but the suspicious circumstances fuelled gossip in the elite circles of Tudor society and persists to this day.
