The relationship between weaves, relaxers, and oppression is a straight line for black woman as well as other women with curly and kinky textures. It's a relationship that I have also found myself in, but I have chosen to examine that relationship. One of the first questions I ask and discuss with our guest Sylexxa, from @SylexxaVintage on IG &Etsy, is all about black women their men and hair. Sylexxa, a jewelry designer is equally invested in us peeling back the layers and the wigs just as I am. We encourage you to challenge yourself to buy ethically sourced hair and extend empathy to brown and Asian women throughout the world and their fight for their identity --their hair.
