On this episode of the podcast, I have a great conversation with Byron Thomas, Jr, one of Cincinnati’s top young entrepreneurs and rising stars.  Co-owner and GM at Arts' on the Avenue with partner Tim Haines, in the historic Brighton District in West End Cincinnati, Byron has spearheaded the revitalization of the bar that housed Queen Ann back in the day.   

His efforts with his team there, bringing in live music acts, hosting month long art shows, and providing a safe space for great private parties has been a joy to witness.  On a block that time has mostly forgotten, Arts' is setting the pace and helping to bring new businesses in and creating a destination for people who are looking for something fresh and exciting. 

He’s done stints as a standup comedian, model, and actor, and in Arts, he prides himself on customer service and excellent craft cocktails. 

So, listen in as Byron and I talk about being a role model to younger people, learning by doing, and making the decision to always do the right thing.

This is the first episode of the 5 Minute Philosophy series, in which I will weave lessons in because I feel they support the mission of Sage Warrior Gentleman.

This is merely the definition of philosophy that I got from philosophybasics.com and will be using that website for most of my content here.  I'll cover as many branches as I can and my goal is to post very often, daily if I can swing it.

I've done it at many points in my life and I hope this episode can help you with decisions you may be facing, or just how to look back at your life and relish in the challenges thrown at you and how you came out better because you went with your gut and made a choice.
