Don Daglow ‘74 discusses his amazing experience at Pomona and how he became a pioneer in the video game industry. Don has worked on numerous video games at Sony, Electronic Arts (EA), Intellivision and more. Although not mentioned in the podcast, Don is the recipient of a Technical Emmy Award. Jackie Tran ‘15 walks us through her time at Pomona finding the major she wanted to pursue all the way to her current position as a Government Affairs Analyst at New York Presbyterian Hospital. One common theme throughout Jackie’s career journey is being open to possibilities and not knowing the exact next step. Jackie talks about how she was unsure about her path after graduation, but she figured it out and obtained a position that she truly enjoys. In this episode Jackie touches on getting her Masters of Science in Public Health at Johns Hopkins, her current volunteer work as a doula, and how making connections with the people around you is always a wise decision.

Celia Neustadt ‘12 talks about finding her path at Pomona, founding a non-profit, and embarking on a healing journey that led her to found the company Sky, Moon & Me. Entering Pomona, Celia was on the pre-med track but found that Sociology was her true interest. After being awarded a project grant for the summer following graduation, she grew her project into founding a Baltimore non-profit called The Inner Harbor Project. Following her work at the non-profit, she traveled to Vietnam and Cambodia to pursue her healing journey, and returned to the U.S. knowing that she wanted to help others with their healing process through her company Sky, Moon & Me.

Julia Sears ‘13 covers her decision process when choosing a major at Pomona and how she considered everything from Geology to Political Science before landing on Public Policy Analysis. After graduation she served as an AmeriCorps Scholar Coach in the Schuler Scholar Program for one year before obtaining her Masters at Illinois State University. Following her Masters, she found work back in her hometown of Missoula, Montana (Shoutout to any Missoulians or Montanans listening!) and currently loves her position as a Senior Consultant at Advanced Technology Group.

Carla Pamila Lopez ‘01 shares her stories ranging from growing up on the move with a father who studies biochemistry and specializes in chocolate, volunteering to educate individuals on HIV, and leading a community engagement program to prevent the spread of Ebola in Liberia. Carla has so many stories to share from the numerous countries she has lived in and worked in. You might hear about her dream job which turned out to be one of her least favorite positions, her experience getting kicked out of a country, and her story on her team members’ encounter with zombies.

Annie Schneberger ‘07 chats about entering Pomona as a pre-med student but then deciding that medicine was not the path for her. As a biology major, she didn’t know what she wanted to pursue after school, but she did enjoy event planning and education. After graduating from Pomona she went on to receive her Masters in Higher Education from Harvard and then work in higher education at Kenyon College and Stanford. But as she felt the need for a change, she made the decision to enter product management and currently works as a Senior Product Manager at Guideline.
