வாழ்க்கையில் வெற்றியோ, தோல்வியோ ஒருவர் பார்க்கும் கண்ணோட்டத்தில் தான் இருக்கிறது. ஒருவரின் வெற்றி மற்றொருவருக்குத் தோல்வியாக இருக்கலாம். அதே போல, ஒருவரின் தோல்வி மற்றவருக்கு வெற்றியாக இருக்கலாம். இந்தக் கதையில் எல்லோருக்கும் அந்த சிறுவனை பார்க்கும் போது முட்டாளாகத் தெரிந்தது; ஆனால், அவனுக்கு கிடைத்தது வெற்றியா தோல்வியா? பல நேரங்களில் நாம் முட்டாள்களாக வேடம் அணிகிறோம்; ஏன் தெரியமா? மற்றவர்கள் அதைப் பார்த்து மகிழ்வதற்காக தான்; ஆனால் நாம் தோற்பதில்லை. அவர்கள் வெல்வதாக எண்ணிக் கொண்டிருப்பார்கள். அதை நாம் வேறு கோணத்தில் பார்க்கும் போது நாம் வென்றிருப்போம்! எந்தக் கோணம் நமக்கு முக்கியம் என்பதை நாம் தான் தீர்மானிக்க வேண்டும்!

We must light the lamp inside us and find our lost treasure right therein. 

We perform so many rituals, go on pilgrimages and do so many other things externally in search of the Lord; who is within us. We rarely try to seek the divinity within. Of course, this also requires the grace of the Lord and one must have the yearning or quest to seek divinity within. 

When this is really earnest, Lord sends us the master who guides us and lights our path with knowledge of the self. The main thing though is faith and obedience to the words and message of a true Master.

கடவுள் மேல் நம்பிக்கை வைத்து, மன நிறைவோடு செயற்பட்டால், வெற்றி நிச்சயம். முடிந்த அளவு முயற்சிகளை எடுத்து, விளைவுகள் அனைத்தையும் வல்ல இறைவனிடம் அர்ப்பணிக்க வேண்டும். அப்படி வாழ்க்கையை நடத்தி வந்தால், சோதனைகளையும், துன்பங்களையும் சமாளிக்கும் திறனும் தானாகவே வந்து விடும். திருவடியே சரணாகதி என்ற மனப்பான்மையுடன் முயற்சிகளை செய்தால் எல்லாமே நன்றாக முடியும்.
