Navigator and social media influencer Kinnard Blache sat down with us to discuss how millennials could use ambition, attitude, and a sense of adventure to live a fascinating life. Kinnard is a Grenadian born millennial from the seaside town of Grenville, St. Andrew's. Always drawn to the path less traveled, when he finished college 12 years ago he made the decision to head pursue a career at sea. Along the way, he used his ambition, a good attitude, or, as he calls it 'mental toughness' and a sense of adventure to overcome nepotism, racism, and classism. Presently Kinnard is the 2nd officer at the Carnival UK P&O Cruise and Cunard lines. Although a 'nautical wanderer", one of his favorite things to do is spending time with his family on his home island Grenada. When he returned in June 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he used social media and his love for adventure to showcase his beautiful island home Grenada. His adventures have been featured in dozens of travel websites and social pages, keep up with Kinnard's adventures by following him on Instagram @kinnard_blache Interested in a career at sea?...Fantastic!!
