A podcast from the archives originally released in January 2009, this one features Dr. Christopher R.J. Holmes speaking on the thought and work of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, in his underground efforts in Germany in resistance to Hitler and the Third Reich. Originally delivered in the context of our ideaExchange series, we thought it timely to rerelease this podcast to give people the opportunity to engage Dr. Holmes on this topic
Please consider heading to the podcast post for this session for more information on Christopher Holmes.

A music podcast featuring Jenny Moore's "Bound Up," a song drawn from our archives. It was written by Jenny for use in the church on Good Shepherd Sunday 2007, and recorded at Signpost Music as part of her 2007 saint ben's seven song CD, Songs for listening to on the train with an excellent set of headphones and an ambivalent heart.
Please go to the podcast post for lyrics and more information on the song. Other songs in this series by Jenny include “There’s a Time”, “Be Our Light”, and “Pass the Cup”. You can find the full catalogue of these music podcasts by an array of our artists at this link, and information on our online songbook by clicking here.

One of our long-time saint ben’s people headed away this past summer, on what was to be a three year journey in Ukraine, working as the Peace Engagement Coordinator for Europe with the Mennonite Central Committee. The upheaval in Ukraine has meant that Andrea no longer has that same home base, though her work in Europe continues. In this podcast you'll hear something of what that upheaval has meant for Andrea, and how her work continues.
You can listen to two previous conversations with Andrea, one from November 5, 2021 and the second from January 27, 2022.
Please head to the web post for this podcast for a bit more information, as well as a link to an interview with Andrea published in the Rupert's Land News.

A sermon by Jamie Howison from Good Friday, April 15, 2022 . This liturgy was accompanied by music led by our Resident Artist, Mark Holmes 'a Court, and a piece of his music entitled Forgive Them: An Emphatic Cry is included at the end of the podcast. This recording was very much live-off-the-floor, picked up by a single microphone, but we thought it well worth sharing.
