Saint Christopher, one of Christianity’s most revered saints, is depicted in the Eastern Orthodox tradition with a canine head. He is often portrayed as a giant man with a dog's head, a representation that stems from ancient legends about his origins. He is known as the patron saint of travelers, famously carrying the Christ child across a river, which symbolizes his role as a bearer of Christ. Saint Christopher was depicted with a dog's head for many centuries, until the Orthodox Church abandoned the tradition in the 18th century.
