God commands us in His word, "you shall love your 'neighbor' as yourself" (Lev. 19:18; Matt. 22:39), and yet, God also says "Whoever loves his 'brother' abides in the light, and in him there is no cause for stumbling." (1 John 2:10).

Are we to love one more than the other? Are all our neighbors our brothers? Who, according to God's holy word, are our neighbors, and who are our brothers?

The 3rd and final part of the opening series of foundational topics, we take a look at Service (from being servants/slaves): what informs our works, what our works look like, where they're directed towards and how it all relates to our fellowship with God and fellow saints.

It very much feels like the culmination of the previous topics dealt with in the last 2 episodes, i.e. love, worship of God, being our brother's keeper.

The 2nd part in the series of our opening foundational topics, in considering the various kinds of relationships we have here in the world, the focus for this episode is being one's 'brother's keeper', as Cain asks in reply to God's question of Abel's whereabouts (welfare/wellbeing) (Genesis 4:9).

Are saints brothers to all men? Are saints called to be every man's brother's keeper?

The 'supposed' pilot episode into our journey, and the 1st of 3 in what we called 'foundational' topics. Jesus Christ tells us that there are no commandments greater than that of the love for God and for neighbor, and on them, hang all the Law and the Prophets (Matt. 22:36-40).

Also, while we prepped hard for this, the idea of worship kept butting in as they prove to be inseparable yet distinct.
