Saints Signing EDGE Chase Young - After Further Review, March 18, 2024

Listen Later

LSU lost the SEC opening series to Mississippi State, falling two games to one.
While fan frustration has centered on the offense, it was the pitching and defense that disappointed during the series.
LSU allowed a total of 33 runs over the three games, a significant concern.
Starting pitching, including Luke Holman and Gage Jump, struggled after previously not allowing any earned runs.
Despite the challenges, LSU remains a talented team with room for improvement as the season continues.

Chase Young, the former number two overall pick, is visiting the New Orleans Saints in free agency. His presence at the facility has sparked excitement among fans. The situation feels reminiscent of the Jadeveon Clowney courtship a few years ago. Despite Young’s injury history, his talent is undeniable. At just 24 years old, he could significantly bolster the Saints’ pass rush. The team should do everything possible to sign him and not let him leave without a deal.

On Selection Sunday, the Southeastern Conference (SEC) had a remarkable day. Eight SEC teams secured NCAA tournament bids, the most from any conference. Tennessee and Kentucky earned high seeds, while Bama, Auburn, South Carolina, Florida, Mississippi State, and Texas A&M also made the cut. This achievement reflects the SEC’s progress since 2013 when it was a three-bid league. As an LSU fan, the anticipation of seeing your team’s name on the screen is exhilarating, and this year’s strong SEC representation adds to the excitement of March Madness.

The Kansas City Chiefs are facing the possibility of exploring other options if an upcoming sales tax vote doesn’t go their way. While it’s not clear whether they would actually leave, the team’s president, Mark Donovan, emphasized their desire to stay. Despite historical instances of teams relocating, the Chiefs’ recent success and an $800 million renovation plan for Arrowhead Stadium suggest they are committed to remaining in Kansas City. However, as with any professional sports franchise, nothing can be ruled out entirely.
