That’s how you go on the road and dominate an opponent. LSU finally snaps its two-year SEC road losing streak with a blowout win at Jordan-Hare, outgaining Auburn 552 to 271 and heading into the bye week at 6-2 with Alabama next.
Sam Leavitt had a Heisman-level day with 400+ total yards and four touchdowns. Jackson Harris went off for 9 catches, 178 yards and 2 touchdowns, including the 70-yard backbreaker. Trey’Dez Green returned and made an impact as a blocker and in the red zone. On defense, LSU racked up seven sacks, held Byrum Brown to 19 carries for 21 yards, and shut down Auburn’s run game and receivers in man coverage, just like we laid out all week.
We break down the whole game: Charlie Weis Jr. attacking Auburn’s boundary, the fourth-down call that sparked Leavitt, Dylan Jones’s culture drive before halftime, Jordan Ross and Chase Thomas on defense, and what still needs fixing, including the interior offensive line, punting and soft coverage on third down.

LSU and Auburn renew an old rivalry Saturday at Jordan-Hare. Here are the keys to victory for the Tigers to get their first road win in two years.
Trey’Dez Green is back, but what should you expect? We break down why he’ll likely be on a pitch count of around 30 plays, and how even as a decoy he changes how Auburn’s aggressive safeties can play. Then we go through the keys: make Auburn’s receivers beat LSU in man coverage, stack the box against the power and counter runs Alex Golesh will keep calling, pressure Byrum Brown against an Auburn line that ranks 134th in sacks allowed, wear down a defense that ranks 133rd in time of possession, attack a unit that misses tackles in space, stop beating yourselves with turnovers, and finally score touchdowns in the red zone.

LSU is in playoff mode, one game at a time. Before the Tigers head to Jordan-Hare, we explain why the Lane Kiffin-to-Auburn talk doesn’t matter, what a win at Auburn sets up with Alabama coming to Baton Rouge after the bye, and how the Texas vs Ole Miss result and a Week 10 SEC slugfest could reshape the College Football Playoff picture.
We also dig into the SEC’s nine-game schedule problem, why athletic directors shouldn’t be on the playoff committee, and why a two-loss Notre Dame shouldn’t get in over a three-loss SEC team.
Then we lay out seven keys for LSU to beat Auburn: get after Byrum Brown and stay in your rush lanes, play man coverage against Auburn’s top receivers, stack the box to stop the QB run game, win third down, protect the football, let Sam Leavitt make quick throws to the perimeter against a defense that misses tackles in space, and finally fix the red zone.

Did the SEC’s move to a nine-game conference schedule backfire? We share what we’re hearing about Greg Sankey admitting he messed up, why it may have pushed the SEC toward playoff expansion, and why three-loss SEC teams could be left out while the Big 12 gets multiple bids. We also cover Louisiana AG Liz Murrill firing back at Sankey over the SEC’s lawsuit against LSU, Will Wade getting his LSU basketball players cleared, Xavier Atkins leaving Auburn, and Kansas adding a former pro while LSU gets scrutinized.
Then it’s the LSU vs Auburn deep dive. Is time of possession LSU’s secret weapon against an Auburn team that ranks near the bottom of the country? We break down why Auburn struggles to tackle in space, how LSU should attack the boundary and use motion against their communication issues, why DJ Durkin will send pressure at LSU’s interior offensive line, and why turnovers could decide the game. On defense, we lay out the plan to stop Byrum Brown: take away the run, play man coverage and make Auburn beat you through the air. Plus, why Sam Leavitt could throw for 300 yards and three touchdowns, and an update on Trey’Dez Green’s return.

Five top-10 teams went down on one of the wildest Saturdays in college football history. Georgia, Notre Dame, Indiana, Alabama and Texas all lost. What does that mean for LSU’s College Football Playoff hopes? Eight days ago the season felt over. Now every goal is back on the table, and it’s one play at a time from here.
In this LSU Tigers show, we recap the 31-0 shutout of Mississippi State, LSU’s first SEC shutout since 2007. We cover the secondary’s best game of the season, Blake Baker’s shift to man coverage, Jordan Ross stepping up after Princewill Umanmielen went out, and the counter-run concerns on the interior defensive line. On offense, we break down Sam Leavitt’s 4-touchdown day, Dylan Jones as the backbone of the offense, Jackson Harris as WR1, and why the interior offensive line has to get better.
Then we preview LSU at Auburn. Alex Golesh’s team just upset No. 1 Georgia, and Byrum Brown will test LSU’s defense like no quarterback has this season. We get into how to stop him, how to attack DJ Durkin’s defense, and why LSU needs its first road win in two years.

LSU dominates Mississippi State 31-0 in Death Valley. Sam Leavitt went 31-of-38 for 289 yards, 4 touchdowns and no interceptions while playing through a hamstring injury. In this LSU Tigers postgame show, we break down the shutout, Lane Kiffin and Charlie Weis Jr.’s play calling, and what it means for LSU’s playoff path after Texas lost to Florida.
We cover Jackson Harris’s 2-touchdown day and his injury (he came out in a boot), Dylan Jones’s 142 total yards as the backbone of the offense, Jordan Ross’s sacks, Ty Benefield’s interception, and DJ Pickett and PJ Woodland’s big plays on defense. We also discuss the Stacey Gage fumble review that LSU should have won, the SEC officiating problems, Greg Sankey, and why teams will keep running counter at Blake Baker’s defense. Plus, a look ahead to LSU at Auburn, the bye week, and Alabama.
LSU now heads into a must-win road game at Auburn chasing its first road win in almost two years. Can the Tigers still get to 9-3 and into the College Football Playoff?

Greg Sankey said no. Then he said no again. Now, according to ESPN, the SEC has signed on to a 24-team College Football Playoff. On May 11 the SEC commissioner pushed back on the Big Ten’s 24-team proposal and said the league wouldn’t go past 16 teams. At SEC Media Days he said the media value and calendar math didn’t make sense. Today he bent the knee.
In this episode we break down why playoff expansion guts the college football regular season. We look at what a 24-team bracket would actually look like (North Texas vs. Alabama? Tulane vs. Texas?) and why over 90% of fans in a 500,000-vote poll said they didn’t want it. We also get into the ESPN money behind all of it, Sankey’s credibility after the LSU saga, the conference champion and automatic bid mess, and why Tony Petitti and the Big Ten keep running circles around the SEC.
Then it’s Thursday keys to victory for LSU vs. Mississippi State:
Plus live chat Q&A on the SEC transfer rule, LSU’s linebacker problem and more.

How does the LSU vs. SEC fight end? Greg Sankey took the podium at SEC Basketball Media Days and said LSU damaged its relationship with the conference, even though LSU complied with the SEC’s demands weeks ago and Will Wade confirmed RJ Luis hasn’t been rostered. Blake walks through the timeline, asks why Missouri faces no backlash for adding former pro CJ Gunn through a court order, and explains why he thinks the SEC’s federal lawsuit has become about politics and power. He also discusses Sankey’s ties to ESPN and the Protect College Sports Act, and whether going independent could ever be an option for LSU.
Then it’s the Wednesday breakdown of what LSU must do to beat Mississippi State: the latest injury report for LSU’s linebackers and for Kamario Taylor and Fluff Bothwell, why Sam Leavitt and Jackson Harris should attack the boundary away from Kelly Jones, how to exploit a Bulldogs safety room that struggles in coverage, and the pass protection and defensive pressure questions that could decide Saturday.

LSU’s flight to SEC Basketball Media Days was grounded by dense fog, and the national media took the bait. Blake breaks down why claims that LSU “faked the fog” don’t hold up, then turns to the SEC’s new federal court filing that still threatens LSU with expulsion, even though Will Wade says RJ Luis hasn’t been rostered. He also covers Greg Sankey’s ongoing fight with Gov. Jeff Landry and AG Liz Murrill, and the SEC officiating problems nobody in the league office will address.
Then it’s the Tuesday deep dive on LSU vs. Mississippi State: Kamario Taylor’s injury status, why the Tigers’ defense has to heat up the quarterback against an explosive receiver room, how Sam Leavitt and the LSU passing game can attack one of the worst secondaries in the country, and the red zone problem LSU has to fix. Plus Blake’s take on Will Wade’s expectations for LSU men’s basketball.

LSU drops a 35-34 overtime heartbreaker at Kentucky, and the film doesn’t lie: missed assignments, blown alignments and poor tackling on the road. We break down the three things that cost LSU this game: an undisciplined defense, some brutal officiating (including what Lane Kiffin was told about the tush push and the Will Stein timeout), and an inability to close out games.
We also get into Blake Baker’s road struggles and his move to prevent defense at the end of halves, and Sam Leavitt’s two costly turnovers versus what was his best half of the season. We look at the problems on the interior offensive line, the fourth-and-one decision, and why the better team didn’t win Saturday. Plus, an early look at Mississippi State, Kamario Taylor’s status and why you shouldn’t bail on Lane six games in.
