Sajid Ahmed Umar

Muslim Life Hackers presents this exclusive interview with Sheikh Sajid Umar on visioning. A wise man once said, a candle illuminates but light focused is a laser and a laser cuts through steel. This is what the vision does, it focuses us. It tells us who we are, it tells us who we are not, it tells us why we do what we do, why we do not. Having vision is very addiction. Once you get it, you will hate to live a day without it. This is what makes a visionary different to a person who isnt. Sheikh Sajid Umar Questions Asked: Can you define what it means exactly to have a vision for your life and setting a personal vision? Why is it necessary to have one? How does it benefit us? What sets apart a person who has a vision and a person who doesn't? What if a person has a vision of simply making it to Jannah (the highest level) and so paves out their life with that in mind. What are your thoughts on this and how would you be able to merge this with the vision setting spoken about here? Can you tell us how you were inspired when creating your own vision? How long did it take before it was crystal clear? Was it ongoing process that you tweaked over years or something you wrote up in one go?

About:

Season one of four of Blast from the Past - Seerah in the 21st Century consists of 16 episodes and covers lessons from the seerah up till the 5th year after Prophethood. This series is a unique one with season one being completed in Melbourne, Australia during Ramadan of 2014. This series is not a story-type run through the seerah, but rather a unique one detailing lessons that can be extrapolated from the seerah which are relevant to us today in the 21st century. In this series our Sheikh - Sajid Umar (May Allah preserve him) - will touch on topics related to marriage and relationships, parenting and education, leadership and development and much much more. This series is a must listen and a must share. Season 2 of this series has already been completed in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia during Ramadan 2015 and will be released soon on Muslim Central Media, so please be on the look out for that. For now, sit back with a notepad and pen and enjoy :)

History was made in Dubai this 2015 when Sheikh Sajid Umar ran Dubai's first Islamic Studies class on a 200 people capacity yacht which departed Dubai Marina on Friday the 4th of September. The topic of the class was Insights from Surah Nooh. The audio reflects the windy conditions on the day and noises from the captain's anchoring of the vessel at sea, but nonetheless captures the important messages shared with the audience on the day. The audio does improve as you go along so please do not give up on it :)
