En tekst jeg skrev etter å ha lest en kronikk i Aftenposten i 2012 fra en som argumenterte for at det mest sannsynlig må finnes et liv etter døden, og at beviset på dette er alle de klarsynte som åpenbart kommuniserer med dem. Men finnes det egentlig noen logikk i at vår bevissthet eksisterer uavhengig av vår fysiske hjerne? Finnes det noe logikk i at denne bevisstheten i så fall skulle kunne eksistere etter at hjernen er død og brutt ned til ingenting? Jeg argumenterer for at bevisstheten åpenbart er knyttet til en fysisk hjerne, og filosoferer litt over hva dette betyr for muligheten for et liv etter døden.

Josephine Victoria Ryan er gullsmed og holder til i Sarpsborg. Hun er selverklært nerd, og lager fantastiske smykker som du kan kjøpe i hennes nettbutikk på Etsy.com. Mange av smykkene har et nerdete design, så hvis du elsker J.R.R. Tolkien, H.P. Lovecraft eller Douglas Adams, vet du hvor du skal bestille gifteringen din.

Vi er flinke til å tenke de riktige tanker, like de riktige Facebookstatusene og retweete de riktige sakene. Fordi vi vil vel. Vi ønsker godt. Vi har hjertet på riktig sted. Men det er ikke nok å ville vel. Man må gjøre vel. Fordi det er ikke tanken som teller, men handlinger.

I 2010 ble jeg spurt av Pappasblogg.no om å skrive litt om det å bli far. Min datter Maya var dengang tre, nesten fire, år gammel, og jeg fikk lyst å dele litt av mine tanker rundt fødselen, «bonding», følelsen av å mislykkes, følelsen av å lykkes, og hvordan det er å være helgepappa – og fulltidsfar.
