Often it seems like we are bent on fighting and quarreling among humanity. You don’t have to look further than the news and this past election cycle. It often comes from our desires that battle within us: right motives vs. wrong motives and flesh vs. spirit. Our fleshly desires often get the best of us, but when we submit ourselves to Christ, we can see victory.

James 13:1-12

We have all heard the saying “sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can never hurt me!”  Nothing could be further from the truth! In fact, the tongue and the words that it spews can bring great hurt, and harm that destroys, discourages, deflates, devours, and depresses to name only a few negative impacts. A wayward and worldly tongue is common to all men. Yet God, in His Word, shares ways to tame the tongue. The tongue like a horse, a ship, and fire must be controlled by the power of the Holy Spirit to train each, and every Christ follower to exalt the Lord, edify, encourage, and empower believers while also being used as a tool to evangelize the lost.

Leviticus 23:3

This message is intended to bring a conclusion to our week of Ingathering while prompting the body to continue to live out what we have learned this week. We specifically look at the eighth day of the Feast of Ingathering in this message and what it means. It was on this eighth day, that Jesus made one of his many great proclamations declaring himself to be God in human flesh! In this message, we consider that great moment when Jesus stood on the temple mount, and said, “if any man is thirsty, let him come to me.”

An introduction to the fall ingathering Revival.  This message from Leviticus 23:33 is meant to prepare the people of God for the celebration of Sukkot, also known as the feast of tabernacles, and the feast of ingathering. The feast of ingathering was to be the most celebratory of all the feasts of the Lord. It was a time to rejoice. In this message, we will recognize that God requires of His followers, to celebrate the past, to celebrate the present, and to joyfully, look forward to celebrating the future.
