What’s the role of the church in our culture? That’s a question many are asking both inside the church walls and throughout our city as well.
The good news is Jesus tells us exactly what we are to do. Over the next eight weeks we’ll be looking at what Jesus said to seven specific churches thousands of years ago and learn how we can apply the same principles to what he’s called Salem Chapel to be - and do - today.
This week Pastor Phil shares a message from Matthew 6:24-34 where we see that anxiety is inviting us into greater devotion to God and to rest on how he cares for us
This week Pastor Johnny shares a message from Psalm 143 where we see that the most repetitious choice you make every day is whether you will choose to worship rather than worry.
This week Pastor Johnny shares a message from Proverbs 3:5-6 where we see that clear direction is the result of complete submission to our Heavenly Father.
This week Pastor Aaron shares a message from 1 Corinthians 15 where we are reminded that the resurrection is the guarantee death has been defeated, giving us confidence and hope.
This week Pastor Phil shares a message from Galatians 5:16-25 about living a fruitful life.
This week Pastor Mark shares a message from John 11 about waiting on God. Because Jesus is The Resurrection and The Life, we can wait on Him to work powerfully in our lives.
This week Pastor Aaron shares a message from Psalm 52 where we see that our trust in God’s Enduring Love shapes our response to evil.
This week Pastor Mark shares a message from Matthew 11:25-12:8 where we are reminded that Jesus offers generous rest for weary and burdened souls.
Many of the biggest problems in our culture today stem from the same issue: our identity. We let our jobs, kids, relationship status, race, gender, and political affiliation define who we are instead of finding our identity first and foremost in Jesus.
