We're digging back into our long-running, on-again-off-again sermon series Open Invitation, a verse-by-verse exploration of the gospel of Luke. In this episode, we'll cover Luke 10:38-42. It's the well-known story of Martha and Mary hosting Jesus and his disciples in their home. What does it look like to welcome Jesus well? 

It doesn't happen often, but New Year's Eve falls on a Sunday in 2023! So, we take the opportunity to "look back" at God's faithfulness over the last year, and then "look ahead" hopefully and expectantly at what God might have in store for us in 2024 as we're willing to "strain toward what is ahead" and "press on."

In this concluding message, we briefly recap the "threads" of the different kind of life that Jesus offers us. Then, we learn about ways to contemplate the deep love that God has for us, and how we can carry that love from contemplation and into our everyday lives.
