It’s almost too predictable. United faced a team that hadn’t taken the lead at home since February, hadn’t won or taken the lead at home in Michael Appleton’s 31 game tenure, and sat 23rd in League One. Fast forward to 5pm on Saturday, Shrewsbury came out comfortable 2-0 winners to leave United still looking for anything resembling consistency. Matt, Tom and Jord try to unpick it all.
