This week we discuss our views on the petition going round in the last couple of weeks to "Include Latinx/Hispanic as an ethnic group in the 2021 census", from how big of a deal it really is to have our own box, to whether we would personally like to be categorised as "Latinx" (spoiler: NOPE) or "Hispanic". We go into the history of the actual term "Latino/Latina" and also other ethnicities who don't have a specific box to themselves. For those interested in the choice of music at the end, you'll be surprised to hear that Loz has converted 👀

Finally, there is light at the end of the tunnel, Uncle Boris has laid his road map to somewhat "normality". In this episode we discuss the months ahead, reopening of certain stores and what to expect by June 21...Where will you be on June 21, Bola 8 or K-che? Also a first for S&R, Mr I Am Legend will be giving his 1st weekly traffic update of the street of Central London. Loz may know the streets of London but his geographical knowledge of South American may have you wondering about his Latino heritage. We also revisit some stories about the motherland involving currency and how times have changed since we've last been there.
Listen... it wasn't planned like this but after Loz's big news from last week there was no better time to speak to the girls at Mama's Code! Reckon this is one he's gonna have on replay in a few months' time 🤣🤣 we spoke to the lovely Erika and Jessica about basically eeeeverything.. from good (and bad!) traits picked up from first-generation Latino parents, to parenting challenges during lockdown and the joys that a first-time parent can expect. Whether you're a parent or you're planning to have them in the future, the girls offer some valuable insight not just on this episode but on a weekly basis on their podcast, so make sure you check them out!

Another week, another amazing guest on the Salsa & Recocha podcast! In our latest episode, listen to our boy Nabsora talking about his music career so far, what goes on behind the scenes and his views on the Latin music industry in the U.K. With his great track record in the music world and the detail he goes into in terms of his vision during this episode, this one is definitely one for those with an interest in getting into/growing in the scene! #nabsora #uklatinoscene #uklatinomusic
From "believing in your SAUCE" to "loving what you do", this episode is another one full of wisdom and advice for people wanting to start their own business. We spoke to Vanessa, owner of El Cofre De Mya to explain to our listeners in detail how she has grown from posting her jewellery on her Instagram stories to 50 followers, to growing a massive and loyal customer base on Instagram AND launching 2 other businesses on the side, the latest one of which is coming on the 12th of the 12th at 12 (Bonitas Cosmetics). Vanessa's eye for detail, her ability to build genuine relationships with customers and her passion for what she offers are just a few takeaways from this great chat, so be ready to listen and take notes! Stay on till the end to hear our little detour into Colombian food and, of course, the weekly Tune of The Week!
