Welcome back! This episode of scripture deep dive is based on the first bonus episode, which we've decided to make a series on! Today we look at the scene of Peter and Jesus on the water and discussing how it relates in our lives, from having faith to do the impossible to keeping our eyes fixed on Him who enables us to do the impossible. We draw off of Enzo's recent testimony and look into how it has affected his life personally. Welcome back! This week we look at 2 things. The first is what does it mean to be pilgrims on this journey? We discuss where we are going as Christians and what we are to do on this temporary home called Earth. Second is the introduction of a new member: Alora! Not only is she a new voice on the podcast, but she is also a newly initiated Catholic!

Welcome back! This week we talk about what it means to take action and why God would ask us to do such things. Let's face it: the world around us is falling apart. We can sit around and just allow these things to happen, acting indifferent and "minding our own business" – or we can get up and do something about it. But again, why should we do something about it? Is the world to gone to fix? Matt and Andi return to help me discuss why it's important and give some extremely inspiring stories as to how, in the end, it's always God working through us– it's just a matter of showing up.

This week is a bit longer than usual, but if you can listen through all of it I really encourage it. Each story and each message is foundational to why SLC operates the way it does as a ministry. Moving forward, we are looking to break down more specific issues and dive deeper into specific topics rather than general prompts.

Welcome back! This week we talk about trusting in friends and the importance behind it. We dive deep into the amazing insights of what old philosophers thought about friendship, and it's amazing how many of those principles STILL hold in todays world! But how do they hold up? Why is it important to entrust others? And if it is important, who can we trust?

St. Joseph, the patron and epitome of human trust, gives us a great example: trusting those who are oriented to God. The verses of the week tell us how to identify God-like friendships, first with Sirach 6:14-17 that calls a faithful friend a treasure and "life saving remedy" which is backed up by the famous Proverbs 27:17 that says "iron sharpens iron."

Welcome back! Today we look deep into what is truth... especially the false ideology of relativism and sophism and how those simply cannot be truth. What does it mean to truthfully "live our truth?" How valid is that statement? As Christians, what does is the truth and what does it mean to us?

With a new format, we look to St. Thomas Aquinas and the gospel of John, specifically John 18:37-38.  The content in this episode is dense and plentiful, so this is a longer episode than normal.
