Morning Light talks with Kathy Edwards from Cornerstone Psychological Associates in Boise. St. Patrick’s Day began as a celebration of Saint Patrick bringing the gospel to Ireland. This holiday is a time for us to think about how we live and represent the gospel in our own lives.
Morning Light presents Day 30 of our on-air Consecration to St. Joseph, following the book by Fr. Donald Calloway. Today, “Patron of the Dying, Pray for Us.” St. Joseph died a holy and happy death - gazing upon Jesus and resting in the arms of Mary. What greater death could a person experience? God has designated St. Joseph as the Patron of the Dying because He wants us to also experience a happy and holy death. We need the intercession of our spiritual father to fortify us, protect us and fill us with trust in God’s love and mercy.
Morning Light talks with Keith Pettyjohn, President of the Board for Salt & Light Catholic Radio, on the opening day of our Spring Pledge Drive.
"Cooking With Scripture" is a weekly segment of Morning Light hosted by Chef Lou Aaron - owner of the Westside Drive-in and a Deacon at Our Lady of the Rosary parish in east Boise. St. Patrick's Day comes early as Chef prepares corned beef & cabbage for us!
What is science? Can it be trusted? Morning Light talks today with Dr. Scott French from The Magis Center about that very topic. www.MagisCenter.com
Morning Light presents Day 29 of our on-air Consecration to St. Joseph, following the book by Fr. Donald Calloway. Today, “Hope of the Sick, Pray for Us.” St. Joseph offers hope in times of sickness. If you or someone you know is sick, go to St. Joseph. Jesus wants you to go to your spiritual father and ask him for help and healing. It’s up to God whether or not a physical healing will be given but it doesn’t hurt to ask. Whether you experience healing or not, St. Joseph always offers hope for an illness-free life in heaven
During our weekly pro-life segment, Morning Light welcomes Vice Principal Stephany Herrera and Bishop Kelly Junior, Nicole Graefe from “Knights for Life” to talk about BK's pro-life club, it's mission and some of it's recent accomplishments.
While many of us may be preparing for Wednesday's celebration, Jackie Hopper tells Morning Light listeners to focus on Friday's Saint during this Year of St. Joseph.
During this Year of St. Joseph, Morning Light will focus on different aspects of this silent saint. Today, we are happy to talk to Tammy Emerich, Principal of St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Boise, sharing the ways her school will be celebrating its namesake during this special year.
Morning Light presents Day #28 of our on-air Consecration to St. Joseph, following the book by Fr. Donald Calloway. Today, “Comfort of the Afflicted, Pray for Us.” As we know, the Church has 7 Spiritual Works of Mercy and 7 Corporal Works of Mercy. These works of mercy help us to be devout followers of Jesus Christ by serving others. We will all experience misery, suffering and tears in this life - isn’t it good to know we have someone to turn to for comfort and solace in those difficult times?
