Day 10 of Morning Light's on-air Consecration to St. Joseph, following the book by Fr. Donald Calloway. Today, “Light of Patriarchs, Pray for Us.” The word “patriarch” means father. What all the patriarchs of the Old Testament foreshadowed, and all Christian fathers are called to reflect, is the paternal light of God shining through the fatherhood of St. Joseph.
Morning Light welcomes back the Idaho Lay Dominicans - today, Josh Andrus & Mike Turner walk us through Chapter 5 of the Book of Romans.
Chef Lou could not be with us today so Morning Light pulled out the Mardi Gras segment from last year - it is a Best of Cooking With Scripture as we enjoy a bowl of shrimp & chicken gumbo.
Morning Light chats with Jeremy Cassidy - Regional Missionary Director for FOCUS. Learn more about his incredible background at https://www.focus.org/missionaries/jeremy-cassidy

Day 9 of Morning Light's on-air Consecration to St. Joseph, following the book by Fr. Donald Calloway. Today, “Noble Offspring of David.” In the Gospels of Matthew and Luke, we learn that St. Joseph is of the lineage of the Davidic kings. The Old Testament prophets always taught that the Messiah would come from the Davidic line. They made a point of emphasizing that even though Jesus is not the biological son of Joseph, he is the Son of Joseph by law and has the legal right to be called a descendant of King David.
Morning Light welcomes Melissa Hemphill from Silent No More back to the studio. On the phone, we all talk with our special guest - Dr. Alveda King - about her experience with abortion, healing and pro-life work.
The mission? An integrated approach to the religious formation of children, teens, adults, and lay leaders. And speaking of leaders, Morning Light talks with the Director of Religious Education and Catechetical Leadership for the Diocese of Boise, Jackie Hopper.
During this Year of St. Joseph, Morning Light will take some time each week to discuss him in greater detail. This month’s theme if you will is "St Joseph - Most Chaste" so we talk about chastity with a seminarian for the Diocese of Boise - Josh Tennyson.
It is Day 8 of Morning Light's on-air Consecration to St. Joseph, following the book by Fr. Donald Calloway. Today, “St. Joseph, Pray For Us.” Marriage is at the heart of creation and redemption. Adam and Eve were present at the beginning of creation (Old Testament) … Joseph and Mary are present at the beginning of God’s re-creation (New Testament). Just as Adam was the head of the first covenant family, St. Joseph is the head of the new covenant family - he is Head of the Holy Family and Patron of the Universal Church.
