Mercy is a word often used in the Christian church, but what does it look like to give it in real life? It’s not behavioral change or a five-step process to having a better image, and it’s not about “doing more” or performing better towards others. Join Saltbox Church’s guest speaker this week, Pastor Alan Holmes, with this lesson on authenticity, humble surrender, and freedom to allow Jesus to change us from the inside out.

Picture it—a culture and people living in a time of warriors and wanderers. Force was the currency and tribe numbers and battle skills determined how much power a group would have within any given region. Though Old Testament law seems foreign to modern culture, it was groundbreaking in that it provided structure and ethics to a society that knew nothing of the sort.

Join Pastor Michael Mattis and Saltbox Church for a lesson in God's care, His values, and how His early justice system applied to civilization as we read about it in the Bible.

Invitation to learn more following service, socials plug/website/prayer room, etc.

What does it mean to be “salt in a city?“ It takes us all, but it also starts with just one of us at a time, imagining…families with safe housing. Children with full bellies. Strong schools and church families supporting the community.

As a church, do we actually believe we’re the ones who are meant to step-up in this broken world Do we understand that change is actually possible by the strength and grace of God? Are we ready to convince others of our belief in them too, in God’s will and power?

If not yet, then it’s time.

Join speaker District Court Judge J. Corpening at Saltbox Church as he lays out a plan, inspired by the Word, for becoming salt in this city—imagining the possibility, believing it’s possible, and leading by example.

Bible scripture references: Revelation 21:15-23, Philippians 4:13, James 2:14-17, Romans 12:4

As Christians, we’re expected to grow and mature in our faith in Jesus. How do we do that when it feels like the pressure is on? Or when we’re being challenged by culture, life experience, and the temptation to slip back into old habits?

Join Pastor Jim Snider, Guest Teacher at Saltbox Church for a lesson on Ephesians 4, and gain practical insights to apply the Word to your life.

We all have just as much of the holiness and the presence of God in our lives as we want. No more. No less. And thanks to the death and resurrection of Jesus, we have direct access to the God of the universe, and even closer still, Holy Spirit living in us.

So what does it mean to “be in God’s presence,” and once we are, how does it change the way we live as believers? To learn more about today’s sermon series, to reach out for support, or to simply grow stronger in your faith...
