How do I remain a stable believer? How do I keep from stumbling.

"For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." - 2 Peter 1:8-11

Paul's prayer for the believers in Ephesus found in the book of Ephesians 1 reads, " I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,.."

The book of Proverbs teaches us that "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the holy one is understanding."

If you have believed and accepted Jesus Christ in your life, God is not angry with you. This is the good news of the gospel. - In Christ, and by his finished work, we have been reconciled to God.
