Sam Lyle is an accomplished 5* event rider, an Equestrian Australia (EA) Level 3 Coach and holds a Masters of Education Studies (Sports Coaching) from Sydney University. Sam was the Assistant Australian coach for eventing at both the 2006 World Equestrian Games, as well as the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games where Australia won team silver. He was head coach for the Australian Young Rider team (2012) and was the assistant coach on two Trans-Tasman teams (2005, 2006). In 2017, Sam was awarded Equestrian Australia Coach of the Year.
