Further inquiries have been ordered into the death of a girl who worked at the house of MP Rishad Bathiudeen.

Accordingly, Colombo Additional Magistrate Rajindra Jayasuriya ordered the relevant telephone companies to submit to the police the telephone conversations of Rishad Bathiudeen's wife, his uncle and the broker who had brought the girl to work.

The magistrate issued the order following a letter from the police requesting the police to find out the time of the rape of the deceased girl.

The magistrate also directed the concerned banks to hand over the bank account records of the person who had picked up the girl to the police.
