Samurai Music

Taken from ASC - House of Leaves [SMDE37]

The final Samurai Music vinyl release for 2023 sees ASC return to the label with four new 160 BPM jungle excursions.

Conjuring the spirits of the more heady work of Photek, Source Direct, and Innervisions, ASC dives deep and transforms the breaks, bottomless sub, and eerie synths into 3 forever futurist head cannons.

Donato flips Hidden into a driving 4/4 170 terse wind out, while Reeko rebuilds Tensor into a serpent-like groove around a thunderous kick.

We’re excited to welcome Mako back to the label with a follow-up to his LP ‘Death Of A Romantic’.

SMDE35 is released on 10" vinyl in 2 editions, one of which is limited to 50 copies - https://makosm.bandcamp.com/album/primera-vamos

Primera / Vamos both capture and convey the accomplished and unmistakable Mako sound refined once again for a Samurai Music focused delivery. Primera steps deep with a slicing riff leading into a perfectly honed amen jumpstart, while Vamos recalls echoes of Spirit with a persistent stab attack riding across a characteristically warm and weighty rhythmic bounce.
