The City of Tshwane says it encourages the Metro Police Department to strengthen its security measures in areas where illegal striking workers continue to disrupt its services. This follows a walk-around by Tshwane Mayor Randall Williams to some of the areas of the City which have seen disruptions to the electricity supply. The Tshwane metro issued a notice of intention to fire the striking workers if they fail by the end of business today to give valid reasons why their services should not be terminated.
