Two of the most important words in the Bible, "consider Jesus." So many of the challenges and problems of our lives can be navigated if we would just pause and consider Jesus. What does it mean to consider Jesus? How does Jesus' faithfulness help and instruct us today?

Jesus is fully God and fully man. Jesus has always been fully God, but he became fully man in the incarnation. The author of Hebrews discusses why Jesus had to become human to save us. 

God created humans to rule over creation under his authority, but as we look around it doesn't seem like we are ruling. We are surrounded by brokenness, the world is not the way it was intended to be. What is God's solution for this? How can we know it will all be fixed?

This is the first of the warning passages in the book of Hebrews. Readers are warned of drifting away and neglecting the great salvation that we are offered. However, this is not just a warning of avoiding a danger, it is an encouragement to trust in what God has revealed.

In arguing Jesus is better than angels, the writer of Hebrews gives his audience insight into the ministry of Christ and the hope that he gives believers. 

One of the most revolutionary truths in all of history is that God has spoken. He has revealed himself through his Word and in his Son. Today we see how Jesus reveals God and his plan to us.

This season on Sanctified in Truth we will be studying the book of Hebrews. In preparation for the fourth season, which starts September 6, we will look at the background of the book of Hebrews.
