The defence sector remains a male-dominated environment, with women representing just 11.9% of Regular Forces personnel and 15.9% of the Future Reserves. Among new recruits across both regular and reserve forces, only 11.4% are women. This has far-reaching implications: it reinforces the perception that defence is not an accessible or welcoming career path for women, deterring female talent and depriving the sector of diverse perspectives.
In this podcast, you'll hear candid and inspiring testimony from Anna, Claire and Sarah, senior stakeholders in the defence sector, who share insights on how they secured their roles, overcame obstacles and received support from Fujitsu. Paul Creeley discusses his background in defence and the ways Fujitsu has supported his commitment to promoting male allyship. Jess Hartley details the programmes Fujitsu has undertaken to drive diverse recruitment, whilst our team answers your questions in a dedicated Q&A segment.
Whether you're already working in the sector and passionate about increasing diversity, or exploring what the defence sector has to offer, this episode provides valuable insights and real-world examples.
