We begin our lead up to Christmas Day with a series of sermons reflecting Christmas and it’s meaning. Rev Jonathan uses Isaiah 9:1-7 along with John 14:25-27 to reflect on ‘Peace’ to the world!

Rev Mark Malcolm from Chryston Parish Church concludes our study of 1 Peter 5:6 -11. The concluding verses ask some very interesting questions about our faith.
Moving into the final chapter of 1 Peter we turn our eyes and hears to the message from Peter to the Flock of God.
Continuing from last week we turn to scripture 1 Peter 3:18-22 as a prelude to 4:12-19. The sermon reflects on Peters use of Old Testament passages from Malachi and Isaiah.
Stewards of God's grace is the heading taken from 1 Peter 4:1-11.
The letter closes with this passge "whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen."
Continuing with Peter's Letter Chapter 3 on this our harvest Sunday. Some interesting thoughts to take away with regard to Jesus' sacrifice on the cross for us.1 Peter 3:18-22. Additional text Genesis 6:1-8 and Jude 1:6-7
Following on from last week we continue in 1Peter 3:13-17 of note is the final verse V17 - 'For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that should be God's will, than for doing evil'.
We return to 1 Peter in our studies on this important letter from apostle Peter. This week Peter reflects 'Suffering for Righteousness' sake with text from 1 Peter 3:8-12.
The Guild Dedication service. Norman used Matthew 22:34-40 to illustrate the Guild service with the confrontation between Jesus - the church led by Pharisees and the sadducees in the temple. They were trying to trick him up Jesus quoted the first two commandments in answer to a question "Teacher which is the great commandment in the Law.
