James 5:13-20 + 1 Kings 17:1-7
What is the meaning of 1 Kings 17 1 7.
As soon as Elijah stands before the king and issues God's challenge, he is immediately told to go and hide himself by the brook Cherith. The word Cherith means, “to cut down, or to cut off”. God tells Elijah that just as quickly as He placed him before men, He will just as quickly remove him from view.
James 5:13–20 closes out the letter by encouraging those who believe in God to show it. This is most readily shown by praying in response to every circumstance. We should pray for ourselves, praise God, and invite the spiritual leaders of our churches to pray for us when we are sick, or spiritually weak.
Various text used Luke 18: 1-8, 24:16-21, Matthew 7:7-11
What is the meaning of Galatians 6-7-9?
Living a life of sin will earn loss of reward. Living a life in the Spirit will earn God's reward. In this short life, we should do good to other believers and all people. Paul is close to finishing his epistle, or letter.
What is the meaning of Luke 24:1 12?
They are told that Jesus has risen, but they do not see the risen Jesus himself. What they have is a word, a message. This brings the Easter experience uncomfortably close, because this is precisely what we have–the word of resurrection. One would think God would work differently.
In Mark 11:9-10, the crowds acclaim Jesus' arrival into Jerusalem, shouting "Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!" and "Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David!". This is a joyful declaration acknowledging Jesus as the Messiah, fulfilling prophecies and ushering in God's kingdom
The Lord's prayer : His leading and deliverance
The phrase "Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil" from the Lord's Prayer is a prayer for protection from both the allure of sin and the power of evil, asking God to help us avoid situations that lead to wrongdoing and to rescue us from the influence of darkness.
Revelation 7:9-17
He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake." describes an innumerable multitude standing before the throne and the Lamb. They ascribe glory to God and the Lamb, affirming that salvation belongs to God and the Lamb.
Matthew 6: '9-15
Matthew 6:9-15
In the Lord's Prayer, "daily bread" signifies a humble dependence on God for our daily needs, encompassing both physical and spiritual sustenance, and urging us to trust in His provision for each day.
Matthew6:5-15
When we pray “thy kingdom come, thy will be done,” we're praying about all those things in this world that are not yet right, healed, or whole. We're asking God to come free us from the sin, evil, and brokenness that holds us captive. We're asking God to come clean up the mess we've made in this world.
