When a telephone pole landed on her head Josephine Jones figured a few headaches made sense. Her outrageous behavior of increased partying, drinking, and collapse made her know she was doing something wrong...but she didn't know why or how to stop it. 

After a long stretch of unrelenting pain and bizarre behavior, including suicide attempts, Josephine Jones found a therapist who helped her come to terms with the brain damage and PTSD that would now shape her life. 

Now she teaches military personnel how to cope with PTSD and they listen, because, like them she has suffered the consequences of severe pain and immobilizing neck destruction. 

Josephine started an organization Sane in Pain to help all of us understand the cost of unremitting pain and how to cope with it. In this interview she shares her path in meditation and the inspiration she received and values to this day from meditation teacher Cecilie Kwiat.
