National Police Commissioner, Fannie Masemola says South African police have made nearly 4000 arrests for rape and attempted rape since October last year. Speaking to members of the media on the police's Safer Festive Season operations, Masemola reaffirmed the police's commitment to apprehending perpetrators of gender-based violence and femicide.
