Sara Marie Brenner-affordable homes DO exist

Listen Later

5-Sara Marie Brenner:  Jack says where there is no vision, there is now hope.  Sara responds by talking about how misinformation destroys hope/vision.  She says "affordable" homes DO exist, and that a lot of the younger generation are entitled thinking their first home should like their parents home - 400k to 500k - without understanding that's probably NOT their parent's first home.  She also says you don't need 20% down payment when their are lots of programs to help.  Her advise says "marry the home-date the interest rate."
"Marry the house, date the rate" is a real estate strategy advising buyers to purchase a home they love now (the "marriage") despite high interest rates, with the intention of refinancing later when rates drop (the "date"). It focuses on building equity immediately rather than waiting for an uncertain market dip.
