Sarah Hayles grew up on a Central Qld cattle property.  

After finishing school Sarah found herself working in the mining industry and while there, studied Engineering,  proving that once you set your mind to something, everything is possible.

11 years ago however, Sarah began having a problem with one of her eyes and to this day, doctors are still unable to tell her what is wrong.
