We chat to Sarah Rowell, who was recently elected President of the World Mountain Running Association (I incorrectly said Mountain and Trail Running Association at the start, so apologies for my error).
Sarah talks about her early marathon running career, breaking records and participating in the Los Angeles Olympics in 1984 - incredibly the first Olympics women were allowed to participate in the marathon distance. We then go on to talk about the politics of global trail running and the future of the sport.
We are very fortunate to be supported by Core Body Temperature Sensors, who offer sensors to allow athletes to monitor their heat training and improve performance. Nick Hancock is currently testing the Core 2, and you can read his review of the Core 1 here.
๐๏ธ Thanks for tuning in! If you enjoyed this episode, donโt forget to follow the podcast and leave a quick rating or review; it really helps other runners find the show.
๐ก For more stories, gear insights, and training tips from the world of ultra and trail running, head over to run-ultra.com.
๐ And if youโve got questions, feedback, or a race story to share, Iโd love to hear from you; send a message to [email protected].
Until next time, keep putting one foot in front of the other and enjoy the adventure. ๐๏ธ๐
