This week, I’m sitting down with my friend Sarah Verus for a conversation that covers a whole lot of life from growing up in Germany as a missionary kid to homeschooling her own children, walking through divorce, and discovering what faith looks like when life doesn’t go according to plan.

We talk about how to walk through singleness well, the role the church can play in that season, and what it looks like to build a healthy mindset along the way. And then, somewhere in the middle of it all, Sarah turned the microphone on me and asked a question that led us somewhere I wasn’t expecting.
