In this interview we sit down with one of the founding members of our chamber, Mr. Ron Mitchell. Ron has served on the Saraland City Council as a councilman, current chairman of the Saraland Water Board, former Chamber president and current board member of the Saraland Area Chamber of Commerce to name a few of his leadership roles. He has not only studied the history of our city but has lived it. Hear his accounts of the history of our area and the recent history of the City of Saraland.

Join us as we discuss the Junior Ambassador Program with current and former Junior Ambassadors. Christina Williams, senior at Saraland High School, Caryngten Baggett, sophomore at Coastal AL Community College, and Sadie Miller, senior at Saraland High School talk about their program experience, memorable moments, and lessons learned. This month we interveiw our new 2023 Chamber President, Laurel Flowers.

Laurel shares her vision for the chamber in 2023 and this month she wanted to take the opportunity to introduce myself. She is owner of Laurel Flowers State Farm. She has been in the insurance industry since 2008 and had a great role model who showed her the ins and outs of his business. At that time, she was studying at the University of Mobile where she graduated with an MBA and an undergraduate in Mathematics and Business Finance. From there Laurel moved to Nashville, TN to train under a State Farm agent in the agent aspirant program before taking over from a retiring agent in my hometown of Saraland, AL in 2017. Upon returning home she met my now husband Bradley Flowers and have two sweet kids Kleighton (9) and Luke (1). If you see Laurel around, please come speak. Mrs. Callie Hudson has been a school teacher for 15 years and with the Saraland City School system for 13 years and started a teacher ministry called World Changers United. Her mission is to encourage and empower teachers through Jesus Christ to see life change in their own lives, the lives of their student sand the lives of teachers around them.
