There have been multiple times when I knew I didn’t want to be dating a woman/guy anymore, but the thought of her/him being with someone else was so hurtful, I couldn’t let her/him go i needed to fill the void and we as humans believe in filling this void by allowing our ex to come hurt us again and again. At a certain point, these relationships just became unmeaningful ones. After a breakup, sex can be used as a kind of manipulation—you keep sleeping with someone you’ve fallen out of love with just to keep them from being fully free. It can also be a great way of reminding an ex of all the things they no longer have. We need to learn to say no and tell them its over and please leave me alone. We have the option to open the door or keep the door close for ever.
