We have begun to see nation-state adoption of Bitcoin. El Salvador may have been the first, but they will not be the last to move from a fiat standard to a sound-money Bitcoin standard. In August the BRICS nations (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) are meeting. This trading partnership has at least two items on the agenda -- supposedly forty-one countries are looking to join the BRICS league. And Russia appears to be saying that a gold backed currency will be introduced for trading. If this proves true, it could impact the use of the US dollar as a reserve currency in a major way. There is a silent injustice that is being perpetrated on the world. Many people don't even realize that it is happening. There are a few beneficiaries of this system but the vast majority of the world is being kept in financial bondage. This insidious problem is what saps our saving's value and means that by the time someone is ready to pass on their wealth there is nothing substantial after a lifetime of saving for their children.

Fedimints could be a way to continue to scale Bitcoin to meet the needs of the world. The reality is that not everyone will be able to self-custody. For those who can not - what are the solutions?
