Back from vacation and better than ever, Cade and Grace made it to the dirty thirty. Skipping shitty vs. litty this week because quite frankly, currently their personal lives cannot be defined. Due to last week’s absence and the craziness that is the pop culture world, Cade and Grace jam pack a lot of things into this episode. With the traditional sections like Entertainment News, Song of the Week, Saved on Instagram, and the Question of the Week, they add sections like Fast Facts, Love is in the Air, Movie and TV Buzzness, and more. With the organization of these sections they talk about anything and everything, like: the US Women’s soccer team winning the World Cup, A$AP Rocky in Swedish prison, Channing Tatum’s stalker, stars gracing big magazine covers this coming month, the Cameron Boyce legacy following his tragic death, Kim Kardashian taking down fast fashion brands, Jason Momoa body shaming, the NYC blackout, their favorite bottle cap challenges, Grace provides a Bachelorette update, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are living it up on their honeymoon, all the 2019 Emmy Nominations + the new season of Stranger Things and Cade’s got a Big Little Lies spoiler straight from one of the main stars, Live Action Little Mermaid Casting, American Royals (Beyoncé and JayZ) meet British royals (Harry and Meghan), and that’s literally only half of it. Plus the KylieSkin trip we are all living for, Kelly Clarkson supporting Taylor Swift, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello continue to fuel romance rumors, and truly, SO MUCH MORE. And guess what the best part is? They covered all this in under one hour. The duo has never been so proud of themselves. Well... Check! Yep, consider that their list of things to do before you turn 30!
Cade and Grace are pregaming the 4th of July, and you’re invited. Listen, let’s be honest, the biggest headline you want to discuss involves Taylor Swift and Scooter Braun. Let freedom ring because they recorded an urgent and unplanned Swiftie School bonus episode live from the open road (go listen now). Once you are back from that, Cade fills Grace in on his epic weekend in the lou attending a Shawn Mendes concert. Then they tackle the Entertainment News section with topics like: Camila Cabello’s relationship status, the Press music video, Lil Nas X’s special announcement, and more. Next, both Cade and Grace select something unexpected during the Song of the Week. They spend the second half of the episode looking at all the saved content on Instagram: Joe and Sophie Jonas are official + more weddings and engagements that happened over the weekend, Kris and Kylie Jenner grace the cover of a new magazine with Stormi, Shay Mitchel has a pretty little bun in the oven, Chrissy Tiegen is hilarious per usual, and that’s only half of it. Finally, thanks to Question of the Week, you all get to discuss Tristan Thompson’s birthday post for Khloe Kardashian… Boy, bye. Cade and Grace are poppin’ off like fireworks this week Needless to say, God bless America and God bless Little Mermaid references (iykyk)!
On Sunday, June 25th, it was announced that Scooter Braun (manager to Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato, etc.) was purchasing Big Machine Records, Taylor Swift’s former record label, who still owns her previous 6 albums because of a deal she made at age 15. Taylor then took to Tumblr to express her hurt, sadness, and anger. To say there’s bad blood would be an understatement. Cade and Stephanie were in St. Louis seeing Shawn Mendes in concert when you listeners came in saying you needed an urgent episode breaking it all down. You’re in luck... the two recorded an episode, in the car, as they drove 5+ hours home. They’ve got all the supporters, bullies, subtle cop-outs, tweets, and receipts to set you up nicely to make your own informed decisions. Bottom line: she needs to own her own work. Taylor once said, “I swear I don’t love the drama, it loves me” & that rings pretty true in Swiftie School #3, live from the open road.
Fresh off the heels of hanging out in person for the first time since launching the podcast, Cade and Grace are feeling litty. With much to discuss this week, they introduce a new section: Fast Facts, where they quickly sound off on some b-list topics that don't make the regular section. You’ll thank them later. Then, moving to the Entertainment News section: Bella Thorne puts Whoopi Goldberg on blast, Seth Meyers and Rihanna go day drinking, Tana Mongeau and Jake Paul are engaged, Cardi B is back in court, and much more. Despite this week's episode title, the two are not throwing shade at Bella. However, they feel bad for her and all the sticky situations she gets herself into. Next, is Kardashian Korrespondent section where Cade talks finishing Lamar Odom’s new book, and the duo express thoughts, feelings, and emotions on the KUWTK part one of the season finale … AKA the episode we’ve all been waiting for. Grace talks Señorita and Cade talks Money In The Grave during the Song of the Week section. Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes have hooked up, that’s their final verdict. The Saved Instagram section is packed full this week: Grace’s competition over the Dolan twins, Cade living for JLaw and Amy Schumer’s text convo, Shawn Mendes providing major inspo, Dr. Phil spilling the tea, etc. Someone get them a G-Wagon + an engagement ring, Cade and Grace could use a little clout.
What’s 8+2+3? Yep, that equals 13 and there are plenty of those to go around this episode. Cade and Stephanie are back with everyone's favorite Taylor Swift themed bonus episode. Warning… we are not calm! The pair spend the first 30 minutes deep diving into a very detailed ten-year timeline of Taylor Swift and Katy Perry’s relationship. You know all the ups and downs: the unforgettable sub tweets, the John Mayer effect, those back-up dancers who started it all, numerous interview jabs, lyrical shots fired, peace at last, and so much more. Needless to say, they are here for bad blood no more. Then (drumroll please) the duo takes you through all they know about the new album: Lover. Plus, they dish on the new single and music video she dropped last week. You don't want to miss all the easter eggs, and celebrity cameos...seriously there’s so many. This is the happy meal of podcast episodes. Click play...you're being too loud, you need to calm down.
Welcome back to everyone, but “The Juice.” Cade and Grace forgot to mention last week, but Bradley Cooper is a single man! Yeah, they are disappointed in themselves too. This week they take you through Entertainment News with such ease. OJ Simpson has joined Twitter and is tweeting @KrisJenner, Cuba Gooding (who ironically played OJ) was arrested after assault allegations, Bella Thorne leaked her own nudes, and much more. The two return with Song of the Week, and for the first time ever, they have some breaking news to report while recording. Spoiler: Shawn and Camila are heating things up on the gram. They spend the rest of the episode going through Saved Instagrams because after Taylor broke the app last week, things have been lit. Bebe Rexha is calling out paparazzi, Grace is gushing over Queer Eye & HER BOY + she’s got an odd love for a Bachelor boy, Selena Gomez has hit the press circuit dropping lots of hints, David Dobrick is getting divorced from his best friend’s Mom (yep, you read that right), Cardi B is flawlessly handling wardrobe malfunctions, Kim K is posting pics with HER BOYS, and so much more. They are shook that the Question of the Week poll ends in a tie over if Gwyneth Paltrow’s living situation with her husband is normal. No judgement here, they are just highly intrigued. This week is a fast paced episode for the two because a bonus Swiftie School episode is dropping on Friday…Yes, you need to calm down!
The come up is real on this week’s episode. Cade, back from a music filled weekend in Nashville at CMA Fest + seeing Ariana Grande on her Sweetener Tour, joins Grace, who’s back in Texas with a brand new microphone. Littyness all around! Entertainment News is popping this week: Kylie Jenner is now a vlogger, Justin Bieber challenged Tom Cruise to a UFC fight (yes, you read that right…we are unsure too), Jennifer Aniston finally gave us hope of a F.R.I.E.N.D.S reboot, the Beyhive is after the wife of the Golden State Warriors owner, and much more. The duo then does their first ever Movie Review after seeing the Elton John musical fantasy, Rocketman. Their ratings and remarks were pretty even… it’s no Bohemian Rhapsody. Next, they dedicate Song of the Week to all things Jonas Brothers: the new documentary and major bombshells they learned from watching, the highly anticipated album that dropped last week, and Cade’s obsession with Jophie (Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner, duh). Grace gushes over pics of Psalm West and his potential middle name. Cade brings up an old interview of Arod predicting his future with Jlo in 1998. Finally, the two thank you listeners, and read some of their favorite reviews you’ve written. A few life lessons from episode 26: beware of Beyonce’s side eye and Grace’s love for (now married) Chris Pratt.
Grace is back from Dublin and things are in overload this week here at Saturation. After sharing about her trip around the world, Cade and Grace kick things off with all the Entertainment News: Ashton Kutcher is testifying in court, Stormi Webster and Ariana Grande both have had major allergic reactions, Kit Harrington checked into rehab, David Letterman’s second season of “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction” came out last week featuring Kanye West, Ellen DeGeneres, etc. Plus, do Joe Jonas and Diplo have beef? Here’s a tip @diplo, maybe put your phone down when at a secret wedding. The duo then spend a whole section, Music Madness, breaking down all the new tunes that dropped on Friday May 31st. Tbh, it’s overwhelming. Miley Cyrus and Thomas Rhett have new albums, Camila Cabello is back with those signature vocals, Cardi B drops a single and then heads to court (spoiler: all great things happen on a day Cardi is scheduled to appear in court), and Katy Perry shocks us all with her first chart topping bop in years. Here’s a little behind the scenes fun: Grace got so enthused about the new music that she accidentally dropped her phone and hung up, ending the podcast (ironically) when talking about Katy’s new single. The two finished recording the episode with a few saved Instagrams from the past week. More Kyle Skin drama, more Justin and Hailey Bieber cuteness, more Taylor Swift being a boss babe, and yes, you guessed it, more talk of the number one song in the world, Old Town Road.
Have no fear… Grace isn't here, however Cade’s aunt AKA Auntie Kiss fills in on this week's episode. Per usual, things are busy. Adam Levine is leaving The Voice, and Chris Soules isn't in Bachelor paradise anymore. Plus, so much is happening in the world of Kardashian that Cade made them their own section: Kardashian Korrespondance. Here they dish on Kylie’s skincare launch party, the mid-season trailer of KUWTK, Lamar Odom’s new book, and much more at 19:37. Auntie Kiss talks home decor and Cade questions Whitney Houston going on tour during Saved Instagrams at 44:00. Also, Poosh vs. Posh… is it all the same thing? There’s some inspo and then some new slang terms tossed around during the Song of the Week. You can now hear Auntie Kiss using “5sos” in her everyday conversations. Finally, the two finish by talking about #IfSocialMediaDidntExist and they take a look at what you listeners had to say on this trending topic. Literally SO much more was discussed and recording with Auntie Kiss was a blast. Bottom line here on Saturation: she will be loved!
Funny story: this week’s episode was recorded during the middle of a tornado warning (we know, great timing) therefore, please excuse the low audio / no sound effects. Their apologies, Cade and Grace recorded a little differently due to weather circumstances. With that being said, turn the volume all the way up and enjoy this full episode. Cade and Grace break down the Bachelor drama involving Kelly Ripa, wrap up conversations about the James Charles and Tati feud, provide a Brittany Spears update after her manager speaks out, and much more. The duo explore their favorite instagrams over the last week: JLo and Arod are adorable per usual, Halsey is paying her fans speeding tickets, and the list goes on and on. Plus, they’ve got the song(s) of the week ready for you to jam out to. Lastly, the votes are in and you guys are not a fan of Kim and Kanye’s new baby name: Psalm. All this and so much more is waiting on you. Here’s hoping one day we can record an episode with no sound issues. Until then, you can find these two doing their best to ride out the storm!
