Before we dive into the madness that is playoffs, here (at long last) is our interview with Maryland Black Bears front office staff.  We talk with Black Bears President Robyn Remick and Director of Game Day Operations Kristine Perry, about their background in hockey, the Black Bears’ inaugural season, and how we can get more women involved in the hockey (as players and staff).

A thing happened last Sunday. The CWHL dissolved, breaking our women's hockey loving hearts. And then lots of shit went down in the following week. We give our reactions to all that has happened, bring you up to date on where things stand, explain why there's bad blood between the NWHL & CWHL, talk about the future of women's hockey, and give our two cents about what needs to happen for women's hockey to grow. Hint:  It involves paying the players a living wage.  Wanna invest in women's hockey, Beyonce? We also talk about our own hockey playing mishaps of the past week. Oh, and the looming NHL playoffs.  

We recorded this right before the news broke about the CWHL folding. So here's a flashback to when things were better.  We talk about Leah's four hours of hockey for charity.  In NHL news, we discuss our many feelings about the Caps visit to the White House (spoiler, we hated it), MacKinnon & Tavares in the shootout, and that NHLPA poll.  And saving the best for last, the NWHL & CWHL championships.

In this episode we discuss some potential rule changes (don’t worry, we manage to make that dirty too), geek out over the women’s playoffs, rate Holtby’s facial hair, and discuss the appropriate use of the hockey is for everyone hashtag.

This week we talk about playing like garbage (both on the personal level and on the NHL side), hockey continues to hate one of us, the trade deadline is a (bad) thing that happened, and the CWHL is fighting over us.  We’re super popular, folks.

In this week’s episode we eat our feelings and vent about how hockey’s done us wrong.  Featuring: a whole lot of (deserved) suckage from the Penguins, the Capitals may as well change their tagline to ALLTRADES, one of us goes to the final Rivalry Series game, we deal with more mansplaining, and the Caps liked it enough to put a ring on it (“it” being all their season ticket holders).

This week, we talk about what happened when one of your co-hosts drank a bottle of wine before our game.  Most importantly, we talked about the NWHL Allstar Game & Skills Comp, the Rivalry Series.  Least importantly, we talked about the latest shenanigans in the NHL.

AKA sloppy seconds: Or that time our recorder stopped doing its job 15 minutes into an episode and we got to record it twice!

This week we talk about mansplaining and boob-grabbing on the bench, and how we don't actually appreciate either of those two things.  One of us also has lots of (angry) feelings about the Penguins' goalie situation, we find a startling new common ground between the Capitals' Tom Wilson and Maple Leafs GM Kyle Dubas, we stream a CWHL game, and the NHL needs to do better.

We spent the weekend in San Jose stalking Gritty, fangirling over Kendall Coyne and Brianna Decker, and debating conspiracy theories involving Nathan MacKinnon and Sidney Crosby.
